Globe Bridze was built with a simple mission: to break down language barriers across India without compromising user privacy. By leveraging state-of-the-art on-device AI, we ensure that you can translate and transliterate text offline, anywhere, anytime.
About Us
We are a passionate team of developers dedicated to bringing powerful AI tools directly to your device. We believe that privacy is a fundamental right, which is why Globe Bridze operates entirely offline with no servers, no tracking, and no subscriptions.
Limitations
Because Globe Bridze runs entirely on your device, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Performance varies by device — Translations and transliterations may take longer on older devices due to hardware limitations.
- AI accuracy & layout — For best results, use images with clear, high-contrast paragraphs. Avoid complex layouts like bullet points, headers, footers, or vertical text.
- Complete page endings — Ensure the captured page ends with a full, complete sentence. Images ending mid-sentence may cut off essential verbs, resulting in a loss of context.
- Font size requirements — English text (Apple Vision OCR) supports fine print down to 4pt–6pt (8–10px tall). Indic text (Tesseract OCR) requires standard document font sizes of 8pt–10pt (14–16px tall) for complex script curves and conjunct characters to be recognized accurately.
- One image at a time — Version 1 is designed around a focused, single-image workflow.
- One source language per image — For best results, each image should contain text in only one language.
- English ↔ Indic only — Translation and transliteration work between English and each supported Indic language. Direct Indic-to-Indic pairs (e.g., Hindi → Telugu) are not currently supported.
- Keep the app open during processing — Translation and transliteration require the app to stay in the foreground. Moving the app to the background will halt the process, and you will need to start again.
- Apple App Store only — Globe Bridze is currently available exclusively on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad. Support for other platforms may be available in the future.

Globe Bridze is an independent application built by integrating open-source AI research models (including AI4Bharat's IndicTrans2, IndicXlit, and IndicLID, and Tesseract OCR) and Apple native frameworks. Globe Bridze is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party organizations or research institutions. Third-party project names and logos are used solely as factual attribution required under their respective open-source licenses. We do not claim ownership of these underlying open-source research models.
